Vanilla DayZ servers

A server is listed as vanilla when the public directory has not marked it modded. That flag comes from the crawl. It is not a promise that the owner runs zero workshop items. Some vanilla-flagged servers still report a mod list on the dossier, and some modded servers never set the flag. Use this page to drop the obvious mod packs, then read the workshop names before you download anything.

If you want the base game only, also check perspective, the map, and whether the hive is official. An official server is a cleaner vanilla than a community server with an empty mod list.
